Scotland & Inverness Caley fan.

Left leaning supporter of Scottish Independence.

Dad of 2 daughters, likes a dram.
Just more SNP failure isn’t it, turning Scotland into the UK region with the highest performing productivity 😂

The B team experiment in the challenge cup isn’t going too well, while the mighty Caley Jags are romping the first phase

I wonder if this will bring benefits to the young boys of the 10 Prem sides, as they are being hammered by League One & League Two teams

Championship teams arrive next round

Just listened to Roy Keane’s take on the Irish National team on the latest episode of Stick to Football & I just remembered a YouTube video that was recommended to me 2 years ago via the algorithm

The golden generation secret is so secret that not only do the fans don’t know, neither do the players

Take this section in particular.

If you add in the oddly bolder capital spending section “missed out” you get a total social security & capital spend of 94.4 billion versus revenues of 94.1 billion - a ‘deficit’ here then of £300 million

Seems insane this was 1 year ago today.

It was such an anti-climax. I’m still a bit shocked that Clarke survived in the role tbh.

He needs to be bolder on public services & invest in projects that can facilitate economic growth into the future; such as building HS2 its full original plan; modernisation of the energy network under public provision; and (at least) rejoin the EU custom union as UK trade has collapsed

I think Brian Leishman here is 100% correct in his analysis but this could be sadly clearly seen before Keir won the election.

He’s a man who seem to hold no actual convictions, affirming positions that are convenient for the audience in front of him at the time.

SNP Cathcart & Pollok branch candidate voting opened today.

My first preference was for Zen Ghani to represent the party in the constituency.

May 2026 will come up fast and there is a pretty big chance that the SNP will retain the first minister position

There’s folk in Scotland that would happy see Holyrood closed down.

There are significantly less children in poverty than would be otherwise the case if the SNP weren’t in government.

That YouTube caption couldn’t be better worded

Well on the way for this to happen .

Pretty, pretty funny seeing all that paper wealth Musk has evaporate

Please, please please Steve Clarke play Ryan Christie next to Billy Gilmour.

That would be absolutely class, Ryan providing the physicality, Gilmour doesn’t misplace a pass, we would have such, such a solid midfield base.

I think Nazi salutes were the final straw for me.

Had weaned myself of it for the last couple of months but glad to have deactivated my Twitter account.

It was good but cannot associate myself with anything Elon Musk is involved with.

Co-incidentally I messaged James this today.

It’s wonderful. Not only could they destroy the value of one billionaire family (the Glazers) they will take down the asset value of “Jim’ll Brexit it” Radcliffe too.

Delicious

If you are that grass who turned in this guy while working at McDonalds, you should be ashamed of yourself.

This headline is exactly the argument why I argued before Starmer was elected that he was going to be a terrible leader.

My worry with the last election wasn’t that Labour would win, it was that they would win & then be insipid. This will lead to a far right backlash in to all of our detriment

Warren Buffet has sen these trends and is sitting on record cash on hand.

There’s no investment opportunity in tech/growth stocks currently as they are overvalued.

Repression proof value stocks can be difficult to determine so “cash is king” going into a depression/recession.

Done - surely next year It was what it was will be nominated for best podcast, think you & Rob have done an excellent job, every episode to date has been great & clearly there is still a lot of stories to tell. Episode on the Bayern team that stopped Ajax run in the European Cup would be good

Tbh are we now reaching a point where the COP meetings are causing more emissions than what they are saving?

The USA and China continue on to emit levels of CO2 that are going to completely disrupt the planet.

Sadly cannot see anything changing now

www.gov.uk/government/n....

A 1.1% fall in Scottish unemployment in the quarter but coupled with only a rise in employment of 0.3% - humm.

Don’t know if those statistics pass the smell test, as that is a huge drop in one quarter of 1.1% from 4.4% to 3.3% Q2 to Q3 2024
