So these are the 3 that I have in my shop at this moment. In order, the first one we call creole lettuce, second one is curly or French lettuce, and last one is called butter lettuce

The leaves are thinner at the base and wider at the top, of a nice emerald green color, with a white vein right in the middle and sort of ripples branching off from the vein. The plants glisten with moisture because I recently sprayed them with water so they last longer. Front shot of the second lettuce type. The one we call French. The leaves are thin at the bottom and really wide at the top, smooth otherwise, and the top edges curl in waves all along the edge. These also are recently sprayed so they look a nice and healthy green. Close shot of the third type of lettuce, the one we call Butter. The leaves are wide, almost square, of a paler green than the other plants, and the vein in the center is white and thin. This one is also sprayed so it looks as fresh as possible considering it's late afternoon.

Continuation of the previous screenshots: With another deep breath, Kass took hold of her torn pant leg and ripped it open up to her knee, as if the thick heavy denim was made out of paper, to better inspect her injury. The sound of the fabric being ripped apart echoed on the trees surrounding her but Kass paid it no mind. Spikes of sharp pain shot up her leg and tore a deep gasp from her chest. Crimson blood poured from the row of wounds down her leg—her hands trembled when her fingers prodded at the bleeding holes those fucking teeth left on her calf. The bite holes were at least an inch wide and another inch deep, weeping angry red. She inspected downwards, but despite her sock and ankle-high boot being soaked with her blood, the leather was unmarred and her ankle felt fine, merely sore. Nothing felt broken, no, and no arteries were nicked, otherwise she’d be dead already, but the injury was still dangerous enough—a pained hiss escaped her lips along with a heartfelt ‘Fuck!’ A short, impressed whistle cut through the dizziness to reach her ears, “whatever attacked you sure did a number on you, Ms.” Kass looked up and nodded, unfazed by the presence of the Kawlav man that stepped out from the bushes in front of her. Standing about one foot tall, blue-eyed, with shoulder-length brown hair, a slightly crooked nose, probably a good 20 years older than Kass—or a couple of centuries, who knew. Kawlavs, like many Kin, didn’t age like full-humans— and dressed in a dark velvet night robe thrown over two-piece striped pajamas and matching slippers. The stranger looked less than impressed with her. Kass didn’t blame him, she probably interrupted his night. “My apologies, good sir, if I’m trespassing into your home’s threshold and disturbing your night. Just needed a moment’s rest. I’ll be out of your hair in a minute,” said Kass, her words steady and respectful despite the dizziness pushing at her gut and the blurriness not receding. She only hoped to not vomit in front of the man and disrespect his home further.

Just a minute to regain her breath and for the blurriness to go away, that was all she needed, just a minute… A nearby cluster of Pixies shot back into the trees, startled by her state, and Kass’ heart twisted with guilt. Continuation from previous screenshot. “Great, scaring children now— great job, Kass,” she scoffed and shook her head but the world tilted on her and her stomach churned. “Fuck…” she breathed out and tried to think, tried to push through the fog of exhaustion and blood loss that had her brain feeling stuffed with cotton. She had injuries that needed her immediate focus or she wouldn’t make it home that night.

She sat on the lid and leaned back against the dusty brick wall behind her, not caring about getting dirtier than she already was. Covered in drying blood, dust and sweat as she was, she was probably the filthiest thing in that alley.

You roll them over the cramped muscles slowly until they break. We say they "absorb the air" in the cramps and help relax the muscles. I know it sounds bonkers but we grow up using this shit, specially for back/neck cramps, and it works.
