My unprompted opinions on football, athletics and anything else that I might want to waffle about
Still definitely good enough to be playing at the top level. Could be important starting for Spain at the World Cup next summer
🚨🔴⚪️ Aymeric Laporte to Athletic Club, deal comfirmed after FIFA approval to the documents with Al Nassr! FIFA accept Athletic reasons and Laporte will play for Bilbao, registered into La Liga and could be also into Champions League squad. Here we go again. ✔️

Got to feel a little bad for Bauer Leverkusen this window. They’ve now lost Wirtz, Alonso, Boniface, Tah, Hradecky, Frimpong and Xhaka. It’s going to have to be one serious rebuild there

I’d seen people writing John Stones off a bit, but he’s absolutely still Englands best centre back when he’s on it
August 16, 2025 at 5:23 PM
Yeah unfortunately I think this Reijnders guy is going to be really good. Easily a £50m+ player in this market so they got him for a good price too

Am I being too reactionary when I say Ngumoha is a dark horse for England’s World Cup squad next summer??

Put some respect on Wanyonyi that’s an insane run. Put that WR on watch by the time Tokyo comes around
April 5, 2025 at 11:57 PM
Wow performance of the night so far for Hiltz, took it to the 800 specialists so well and really dominated
April 4, 2025 at 11:26 PM
Wind looks pretty bad in the stadium, I know it’s early season but those times aren’t blistering. Bodes well for Paulinho for the rest of the season though she looked strong
April 4, 2025 at 10:50 PM
Maybe it’s early days but that stadium is EMPTY. It’s a bad look ngl
April 4, 2025 at 10:37 PM
The days finally here! Settling in for the first grand slam track event I can’t wait
April 4, 2025 at 10:36 PM
Why Chiesa now??? Will this be the moment he finally makes an impact for us
March 16, 2025 at 6:03 PM
I think there’s a lot to be positive about from this six nations for England, hope to see a lot of the boys in the lions team this summer
March 15, 2025 at 9:57 PM
Immense save there from Alison from that one on one, that’s what makes him the best in the world
March 5, 2025 at 8:32 PM
Wow Ingebrigtsen reminding everybody whose event this is! Thrashing Nuguse’s time
February 13, 2025 at 8:28 PM
Looking forward to another indoor tour meet tonight, excited to see how Ingebrigtsen responds to the running at Milrose
February 13, 2025 at 4:32 PM
Pleased to see semi automated offsides are coming in soon. Think it wasn’t offside at the death last night but will be good to speed up that process
February 13, 2025 at 4:31 PM
Finally getting over the shitshow that was last night, on the whole Everton probably deserved the point but I’m still fuming with how late they got it
February 13, 2025 at 4:07 PM
Yep this is a sign of the rapture

Chiefs already getting soft calls. Hope this game actually gets settled on the pitch
February 9, 2025 at 11:49 PM
Christ that was bad. Every senior player out there was poor. If I’m chiesa, Nunez, Elliot, quansah, or tsimikas and I would be fighting to be in that first team week in week out but they were all embarrassing today, zero effort
February 9, 2025 at 5:09 PM
Very poor from Chiesa today
February 9, 2025 at 4:55 PM
I’m sure nyoni is a great prospect but the kid definitely needs to tack on some muscle before he’s ready to play in midfield at the top level
February 9, 2025 at 3:14 PM
Seriously impressive middle distance running from the Americans at Milrose last night. Excited to watch Fisher, Nuguse and Hocker at gst. Hoey looks like he could be a star as well

My most passionate opinion in athletics is that the mile should replace the 1500 completely. Why was it ever changed they’re the same race except one has cool history
Mile to replace 1500m at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.

The Commonwealth Mile is a tribute to Roger Bannister and John Landy’s duel over the distance at the 1954 Games in Vancouver.
