So there have been several floods of new bsky users since I took a short break from social media — so I’m posting another TTRPG intro post in case people don’t know me.

I for sure know the feeling of an overabundance of ideas 😅 ADHD definitely doesn't help with that, either. Focusing on just one thing is near impossible.

Maybe one day I'll do the Discord server thing again. I dunno.

Mistria has been great so far! I love the art style, and the music, and the story so far. It's cool that it inspired you to make a TTRPG! I know I want to make a cozy TTRPG of my own, too, though I don't know what or how yet. I hardly have the time right now for another project, anyway.

Yeah I know the feeling of not getting quite same enthusiasm in a response as you put into a ramble. Not the best feeling, for sure. I feel like with the right people, a Discord could be magical. I just wouldn't know who to ask, who would be interested, and who would actively participate.

I'm in my friend's DMs all the time, for sure. I talk to certain people a lot. But I really do wish I had a server of my own where I could talk with lots of (select) people, with similar-ish interests, even if those interests are semi-varied. I dunno. I think I just crave conversation.

I do play Fields of Mistria! Or rather, I *just* started. Like literally, just last week. I'm enjoying it so far.

And I haven't heard of tea cups vs. pitchers before, but it's a good comparison. Definitely makes sense. I'm a BIG yapper, so when I have something to say, it's a LOT.

So like... I dunno, maybe there would be a point to it because it would be a mixed bag of folks. But then again... idk, maybe not, because if people's interests were so spread throughout the server, maybe people just wouldn't talk at all? Then I'd be back to square one, again.

Honestly, my original discord server wasn't TTRPG focused, it was cozy gaming focused with a dash of TTRPGs on the side. My "brand", if you can call it that, is very 'cozy + aesthetic meets games of all kinds'. But I'd think that would be more people than would interact outside of the server.

I have found with my existing Discord that, when I made it, anyone who joined (if they talked at all) were okay to respond to *me*, because they'd already established a relationship with me on social media, but no one talked to *each other*. So that was kinda... a weird place to find myself in.

That's fair. I guess in my experience, so far, people aren't active enough for me to have a ton of messages, in general. It's usually something I can scroll through and catch up on pretty fast.

Part of me wants to try and make a new semi-private Discord, but idk how that would wind up going /cont.

I *do* like having numerous channels, but that's because I just really LOVE to feel organized. I like things having a place to go. But I'm definitely not as comfortable with having as many people crammed in as possible. Discord for me is relatively private - I don't want just *anyone* to find me.

I like group chats okay, depending on the chat. I feel like if I were going to open a server, it would be to select people. I don't want to open a server to just *everyone*, that would stress me out. And I love yapping with anyone and everyone! But... idk, people don't seem to like to yap with *me*.

Yeah, for sure. Mine had like 10 people, and it wasn't a public server. Like I opened it to people in the community that I had spoken to a few times, but it wasn't something I published the link for. But honestly, no one ever said anything anyways. Which was just... idk, kinda a bummer.

That's understandable, I'd be hoping folks were doing well too. My server never got that big. I don't think I even had 10 people. And out of them, only like 2 ever spoke. Though admittedly, that's partially because it wasn't an open server. I'd be nervous if just anyone could find me on Discord.

Yeah, I feel that. I had some folks in my server, not many, but some, & most of them have straight up left. If I had a server now it would need redoing entirely. But it doesn't super matter. I don't know who would join, & if they did, idk if they'd even participate/chat. Idk who'd mod it, either.

Yeah 😅 The few people that were in my original discord server have mostly left. Like just left the server. Not that it matters much, no one ever *said anything*.

I'd like my own server where people can chat & hangout, but it's hard to figure something like that out, I guess.

Lowkey forgot that I made a community Discord server a *while* ago, and didn't really do anything with it because tbqh, I don't think I had much of a community, and tbh, I'm still not sure that I *do*. Not enough to warrant a discord server, at least. Plus I'd have no way of keeping it moderated.
