The owner of See Jamaica (live cameras 24/7 in several places on the island) has an important message! Share away! #Hurricane #Melissa #Jamaica
October 29, 2025 at 4:18 PM
Hurricane #Melissa is still a threat! Going through today, things will start to improve in Eastern Cuba but go downhill in the Central/SE portions of the #Bahamas & the #TurksandCaicos!
October 29, 2025 at 2:23 PM
The people of #Jamaica need our collective prayers right now! Hurricane #Melissa is gaining strength as it approaches the island! Now, the 6th lowest pressure for an Atlantic Hurricane (896mb) with 180mph winds! They will need the world’s aid after this! 🙏🏾
October 28, 2025 at 1:29 PM
With the caveat that this is just one model run but all indications are the western portions of #Jamaica will experience the very worst of the winds from Hurricane #Mellissa! Stay with @weather.bsky.social for all the updates!
October 27, 2025 at 5:58 PM
A scary sight to see, what is now, Category 5 Hurricane #Melissa revealed as the sun rises! Conditions expected to deteriorate in #Jamaica today into Tuesday. We’ll have the latest on the @weather.bsky.social!

Great news to hear from Bermuda on the impact from Hurricane #Imelda:
October 2, 2025 at 1:20 PM
While visiting NOAA's Historical Hurricane website was greeted by this lovely message:
October 1, 2025 at 2:56 PM
The sun rising on the visible satellite to reveal our two Tropical Cyclones #Imelda & #Humberto! Both moving away from the US but coastal water dangers remain. Bermuda watching closely for direct impacts!
September 30, 2025 at 1:32 PM
The Tropic are alive! TS Humberto is expected to strengthen into a Hurricane but right now is forecast to stay away from US. Invest 94L has the best chance to make it to the US. Everyone from FL to the Carolinas should keep an eye on it. Stick with @weather.bsky.social for updates!

Hurricane #Erin has definitely tried to get its act together! Dry air & shear were an obstacle yesterday (top pic). A little better organized today (bottom pic). We’ll see if we get an uptick in the wind speeds! Regardless, coastal dangers remain the same. #DontGetInWater
August 20, 2025 at 1:33 PM
Hurricane #Erin has come down from its peak as a Category 5 storm with 160 mph winds! BUT it is large & getting larger! That means the chance for Tropical Storm force winds for parts of the Mid-Atlantic & New England Coast is higher! Stay with the @weather.bsky.social for the latest!

In Kennett, MO the temp in the noon hour hit 96° with a dew point of 86°! That gives you a Heat Index (feel like temp) of 129°. One can hope the instrument is malfunctioning. Otherwise, I truly don’t have a word or phrase to describe how nasty that must be! 🤮
