This is a shift from what we used to focus on with traditional search due to the shift in the results format: from a page with links to pages directly referring traffic to an answer synthesizing information to satisfy users need that might or might not referring direct traffic right away.

PS: Google, don't say AI Mode data is "blended" in the performance report in the existing Google Search Console. Without a proper filter, that's simply useless.
