#golf on a miserable windy wet day in Scotland decided to go back to warmer climes and back to Golf del Sur in Tenerife. I think it is the 3rd on the Links 9, again 12,000' mount Teide in the background

#gamer #pcgamer. High tech of the day Oct 1988. PC bought from an Edinburgh company called NTS. I bluffed to my wife that I actually was using it to do work. I'm using ORCAD electronic circuit schematic designer. The DRM was a dongle you had to have installed in the Centronics printer port.

#golf picture of the day. This one is Dumbarnie in fife, only been open for 4 years but got to be one of my favourite layouts I've played.

#golf bit late today on picture but here you go. Dunkeld and Birnam Golf Club, 4th green (I think). For you Shakespeareans, I think Birnam is the shame as Birnam Wood, Dunsinane Hill fort historic home of MacBeth is about 15 miles away as the crow flies.

#golf picture of the day. Still in Tenerife Golf del Sur the 4th green . The more observant may be able to see the volcanic Mount Teide peaking up in the background.

#gamer #pcgamer Who would have thought people would find pictures of gaming PCs interesting. I feel like I missed a opportunity of fame with my 35 years and 10+ PCs.

#gamer anecdote. The orig PS3 suffered from the orange light of death caused by dry joints under the CPU. I decide to try and fix it. Carefully dismantled it, a friend put it thru a re-flow furnace. I reassemble but used heatsink tape rather than paste. Eureka it booted, lasted 5mins then shutdown

#golf Picture of the day. Just read that they are redesigning the 7th and 8th holes this Winter so here is Trumpberry 9th. If you have the money you can stay in the Trumpberry Lighthouse butler included. Someone said it is £15k/night you get a bottle of his new perfume thrown in. Knock yourself out.

#golf picture of the day. I love this picture. As I was walking up the 18th I noticed the 1st parked car on the RH a White Mercedes Convertible was illegally parked and also had a nice ball impact mark on the widescreen. #karma

#golf Staying in Gran Canaria this is Salobre Old. Nice course but wouldn't recommend the other course the New. It was tricked up and punitive, sole destroying when I played it.

#golf picture of the day. Another one from Tauro Anfi in Gran Canaria.

#pcgamer #gamer One of the early games I played was Elite. Having played Starlight recently the themes and game play are strikingly similar only 40 years later. I can't see the game and not hear the ship docking music in my head (Johann Straus Blue Danube)

I'm getting on a bit and I don't really want to resit my driving test when I'm 70 so a bit biased but I do think there is a bit of a witch hunt on with the media. They seem to be covering every crash that a pensioner has at the moment.

#pcgamer anyone know a web site that specialises in selling vintage PC games. I have about 12 late 80s early 90s games and their boxes that I'm looking to sell. eBay ain't doing it.

#pcgamer In the 80s there was no internet. If the game had a bug in it you either got the update thru monthly PC Magazines discs like PC Plus or downloaded it via a Bulletin Board with a 33k MODEM. The MODEM connection noises are once heard, never forgotten
