Finally able to get my shots downloaded and edited from Lake Michigan from yesterday. Lost power right after I got home. This is probably my best shot from Pere Marquette Beach in Muskegon.

Prior to visiting the MI capitol Friday, the only capitol I’d been in was AL’s when I joined a field trip while visiting my niece + nephew abt 10 yrs ago. I’d laid on the floor + taken a pic of the rotunda. I wanted to repeat that but construction didn’t allow it.

The Wrigley Building is one of my favorite buildings in Chicago. I was looking for a better angle (IYKYK) and I started to cross the DuSable Bridge. I looked back over my shoulder and saw the Chicago flag waving in the breeze.

I couldn’t believe how many monarchs were on the butterfly bushes on Labor Day! I stood there just watching in amazement (partially because they were all landing on the high branches out of my range).

We did make one stop on our trip out and back to SD. I had originally planned on stopping to see more waterfalls but after the new job came up, that plan was scrapped. I still had to keep one in there though with a quick stop at Briggs Woods Park in Iowa.
