I once worked with a computer without instructions for subtraction (no multiply or divide either) and we had to use twos compliment and write routines to do subtraction. Assembly code obviously. I am that old.

I also had the same GPA in high school and college. About the same as yours. In grad school it was a lot higher because there you only have to take courses that are interesting to you.
