but there are many other people missing and dead and people who lost homes. Not all of those affected are those "poor little rich girls"

I understand your feeling. I understand the impetus to just hoard our own resources. But I think we lose our humanity if we don't try to help our larger community. "I got mine" is how we have gotten to this point.

I absolutely want FEMA to be able to help. That is why I pay my taxes. Not to funnel money to the already rich. Agree we have also always relied upon churches and charities to fill more gaps.

Agree. No one kind of person was affected. All of us together were. That said, I think the better way to send money is through disaster relief organizations that can scale help for many and not just one person at a time. Because again, all deserve help. Not just those with friends with means.

I understand all that part, but I am still not sure why we had to give billionaires a tax break? Shouldn't they do their part? Also I am not sure adding $4T to the debt means debt relief. We have to pay that off. Chip Roy promised me no more debt, and he caved.

yes, I don't know who is actually cheering for hospitals to close and for us not to take care of our veterans. And if we need to tighten our belts and take care of waste fraud and abuse, then why don't the billionaires need to tighten theri belts. It's weird cheering for billionaries.
