My father, a US Army war veteran, had never heard of this before he drove across the country to visit me. He found the setup very disturbing.

It seems very simple from where we sit. I agree with you as far as wishing there had been an immediate, clear response on behalf of a colleague and to assert a norm of professional behavior.

These are elite journalists? OK.

There has never been a POTUS who behaved this way and there aren't well-prepared appropriate responses for how this one behaved on Air Force One or in the Oval Office with Prince Bonesaw.

I hope newsrooms with access are talking to each other about it, as well as the reporters on the ground.
