I’ve worked decades in public health along with thousands of others. So easy to undo all this work. The CDC was the world’s foremost public health agency and part of what made America great.

Right, it was only a matter of time. I wonder if people are being kidnapped to be trafficked for labor, sexual or otherwise. Also, children are being separated from their parents are any of them being kidnapped for some nefarious purpose?

That’s interesting because at some point, they extended it in order to help in particular kids who in districts where they were banning books. At least you don’t have to live in the city of New York so that covers about 20 million people but thank you for the correction.

Anyone can sign up for a library card electronically with the New York public library. They will provide you with all the banned books you care to read.

I’ve spent my life protecting my community’s health as a public health nurse. There are certainly more lucrative ways to make a living, but serving my neighbors was so wonderful. We eradicated measles. The thing about public health is nobody realizes it’s there until it’s gone.

It’s not just the American Academy of Pediatrics . I know for a fact that the Infectious Disease Society of America and the American Public Health Association are party to the suit as well. I also know that a group representing obstetricians has joined. I’m just not sure that it’s ACOG.

I spent decades immunizing children against diseases that could kill them. They’re frightened and it’s hard to vaccinate them. But when I would walk through a graveyard and see all the little headstones that I knew we were preventing, it got a lot easier.

We sang this in Mt. Kisco on No Kings Day. It has held up.

Thank you for this. I will be attending in my own little village of Mount Kisco, New York.

This strikes me as an illegal order. Can’t the Marines refuse to go? George Washington is rolling in his grave.

Oh yeah, it’s all about states’ rights for the Republicans until it’s guns and slaves.

As the Queen of Hearts said, “Sentence first, trial afterward.” We’ve been down the rabbit hole for some time now.

You mentioned on Cafe Insider that the administration is sliding down a slippery slope. I brought to mind an image of Trump going down a slide, throwing his hands up in the air, and going “wheeee.” I think he enjoys ruining democracy.

Do they remove your compassion when you sign up with ICE? On the other hand, kudos to the real Americans in this story, the PTA.

I wonder if we should be reading something into the fact that this happened in Wisconsin where Elon Musk failed to purchase the election of a judge. Are the people of Wisconsin and their judiciary being punished? Trump and musk should be wary. Badgers are tough.
