Still got the paid area to do another time but they have a free area with photos of scenes from the film and in-movie posters for the kabuki shows
As well as a room playing a special music video on these giant high-tech screens with surround sound that’s just an awe to look at

Cinema Qualite, a core indie cinema in Shinjuku, closed for the final day yesterday after announcing its closure a few months ago, and it’s sad to see it go

Went to the Capcom exhibit that’s toured Japan a lot of this year and hit Tokyo recently
Actually beyond neat. art and history it’s a decent intro to game dev ideas like hitboxes, polygons, pixel art, foley/mocap etc with interactive exhibits on this
And lots of Ace Attorney

It’s amazing to not watch a movie or series in a decade, pick up a BD for cheap, watch it, and feel the same way yo did the first time
This series was so much for me and especially the final moments revisited here just hit all the same (also pink BD case)

I love doing cafe trips and finding small lunch places but I never do it enough unless I’m with friends, so if there’s any aim for 2026 it’s to make this a more regular occurrence
