So nearly finished with the second chapter of Sandalwood, my Zoro at Kuraigana fic.

Here's a peek at what's coming in this chapter 👀 In which Mihawk inspects Zoro’s injuries after their fight the previous evening, and Zoro has precisely zero chill.
His touch skates up and across, over the satin and lace of the nightgown to the new stab wound that's clearly visible above the neckline, blossoming like one of the roses from his garden. “This should probably have been stitched too,” he murmurs, like he's talking to himself as much as to Zoro. He circles the reddened, inflamed edge of it, and Zoro whines like a dog. He’s staring at the Kogatana where it hangs around Mihawk's neck, nestled against his breastbone, beautiful and deadly. When Mihawk leans forward to inspect the wound more closely, it sways out and down, away from him, close enough that Zoro can lift his head and catch the tip of the cross-shaped sheath in his mouth and <i>suck</i>. It's nothing but instinct. Fortunately, though, Zoro’s instincts have always been impeccable. He hears Mihawk's sharp inhale above him, and whines again when he stands, the Kogatana falling from Zoro’s mouth and back to its usual place at Mihawk's chest. “Needy,” Mihawk tuts, but Zoro thinks he sounds a bit more breathless than usual. It feels like a small victory.
