Agree that patients deserve some understanding, particularly when they’re sick and stressed. I’m talking about an outpatient practice and entitled pts who are genuinely abusive to my staff (and worse, super nice to me).

I’ve fired patients who were rude to my nurse. 100 times out of 100, I will side with my nurse.

As a healthcare provider, I’ve found that people from rich families rarely want jobs like these that require absolute dedication to humanity and hard work for often nominal pay. Also why few choose to serve in the military.
