Finally got to see the Staffordshire Hoard at the BM&AG on Friday. I'd seen the photos, watched the documentaries etc, so thought I was prepared. It's still staggering.

Oh, absolutely! I have witnessed the helpfulness on a couple of occasions and it's definitely meant in a positive way. The last time was a young man working in a bar - you could tell he really wanted to make her German better because why wouldn't she want that?

Daughter has been living in Berlin for 10 years. She still gets her German corrected 😄

Isn't it great? Noddy played a music teacher in a comedy series set in a rough secondary school. Here, he is singing alone in the gym after school. It was quite poignant really - gave the song a completely different meaning.

I love this acoustic version - pity it's so short

Just read out the bit about sabretooths to husband and he said "Ah, but did they purr, then?" so I had to investigate and it looks like it's complicated (as usual!).

Crikey. Where's all the extra income going? Hope it's for the upkeep of the parks and not funnelled off Somewhere Else

The whole of the Flogging Molly album is outstanding, and that's a fantastic first track

I've seen real anger over it. Not sure what the tipping point will be though. Catastrophic job losses? Stock market crash?

I'd completely forgotten the cabbage game! That used to get pretty manic 🥬🥬🥬

This is a wonderful shop. I had a look round earlier this year while visiting relatives. The Christmas window is lovely, and so good that they've kept the shop easily accessible.

I lived near Peterborough for years and didn't know this.

Pomegranates were her personal emblem. They're a symbol of Granada, as well as piety and motherhood. Sometimes when you visit, there are also yellow ribbons with red edging tied to the tomb railings.

I love that there are always pomegranates

Frankly, at this point, nothing that AI claimed would surprise me 😞

That's excellent - can't remember that bit from the book 😄. My gripe here was that I was a small part of a big project researching chickens. The 10,000 years domestication date was revised, but the old info is still out there, and AI is making things worse. Frustrating.
