My English/Drama degree gave an ordinary girl from Birmingham an entree into people and worlds I would never have known, gave me critical thinking, made me a maker and consumer of theatre, telly, film and books, as well as a writer and teacher, and gave me a rich and wonderful life. #kemibadenoch

Bloody hell, give the guy a break! He has slid into older age decorously and without being an arsehole. He still does live improv shows which are a challenging medium. As a young man he worked his arse off on the circuit. He doesn’t have to be radical/shouty now.

Zack Polanski’s response to the Manchester terror attack has been a masterclass in mature statesmanship.

Soulful, human, eloquent, empathetic, nuanced, confident and focused on healing.

And bold. It has shone in contrast to so much weaponising or ill thought through commentary.
