It is a challenge staying positive sometimes. My future is entirely out of my control. I look in the mirror and don’t recognize the woman looking back at me. And yet, I’m at peace. I’m fortunate to have great doctors working so hard to save my life, and great friends working to save my spirits.

BIG day. One more round of lab work today. Once resulted, I’ll officially be listed! Things are crawling along at a dizzy pace!!!

Had the cardiac Cath yesterday. After a night of high anxiety and zero sleep, and a day of nothing to eat or drink, the procedure went really well! Whew! On to the next step!!! The view in the recovery room, lol!

Healing nicely, and gearing up for the next step in the transplant process—cardiac Cath on Tuesday. Guess they want to make sure the “old ticker” is up to the challenge of surgery! One step closer to listing!

This year, my daughter, grandson, and forever friend placed a rose on the donate life float for the Rose Bowl Parade. Note, I’ve been to California and love it, but never to LA or Pasadena. After transplant, I hope to place a rose myself to honor my donor!

It’s National Donor Day!!! Which is particularly relevant to me because I NEED a liver transplant. So, while I get this whole thing figured out, I’m going to share some information with all of you today. Please, please, please…help spread it far and wide. I cannot do this alone. Thank you!
