Coincidentally, just today I recoloured this piece by Elson! Seemed appropriate to share!

The soft, warm glow, the subtle streak of colour impying movement... it all works so well, and has such a nice sense of depth.
Absolutely gorgeous!

The paint job was a little rough, but it's still lovely to see these in big stores and accessible. You wouldn't have seen this kind of stuff back when Prime was released.

Always adored Elson's Knuckles. I really think he captures the S3&K sprite, then expanded it to look even cooler.

Picked up my PAL copy around launch, so summer 1998, must have been around £40. Most places were keen to get rid of Saturn games by this time, so there were a few opportunities to get a decent deal.
