Thank you so much to my Santa! This brought me so much joy and I am extremely thankful. This holiday season (and year in general) has been stressful and exhausting and tough so taking part in #SecretSantaAoNZ has helped me gain some of the festive spirit

Little pinchy friend socks and cat stickers! I love socks and will wear these to work tomorrow (will be a shorts day so I can show them off)

I had my first haircut in over three years on Sunday and I honestly feel so much more like myself again.

Been having a lovely holiday so far. My friend's 40th birthday party yesterday was so much fun. Got my face painted for the first time in many years.

Enamoured Books was vibing today for Aotearoa Bookshop Day. There was tea, music, give-aways and tattoos! I got this cute dragon tea tattoo from Kat from Styx and Stones Tattoo. Alex from The Fox's Mark was booked for the day by the time I made it up the line but will book in studio later.

Turned 40 yesterday. Spending my birthday weekend (and til Tuesday) in Christchurch.
Wish the weather was better but its been nice catching up with the other BookCrossers at the BookCrossing UnConvention - some that I've known for 18+ years.

Cooked a very nice dinner tonight.
Also made an appointment to see my GP for mental health stuff on Friday which is something I knew I needed to do but kept putting off.
Chicken bowls (chicken seasoned with Shandy inspired seasoning and lime, vegetables were carrot, radish and lettuce, served on couscous with siracha mayo and spicy pepitas)

Got a new tattoo today (from tattoo artist and fellow spicy book aficionado Alex Heart at The Fox's Mark)

This is Bella. She is very affectionate and very vocal. This morning she kept screaming at me. I showed her a full bowl of food, fresh water and jellymeat.

This evening I cooked a very tasty dinner - chili (the kind that would make purists frustrated) topped with guacamole, two kinds of cheese and sour cream (and corn chips around the edge of the bowl)
A large pot full of chili (Mince, bacon I needed to use up, mushroom, green capsicum, rainbow carrot, kidney beans, black beans, Mexican flavoured tomatoes, nacho spice mix, maple chipotle seasoning, beef stock) A bowl of chili with corn chips at the edges, topped with cheese, sour cream and guacamole)

Cooked a couple of delicious things yesterday
For lunch a double cheese (tasty and gruyere) and bacon toastie
For dinner chicken and vegetable noodle stir-fry
A toasted sandwich cut in half on a white plate. You can see some of the cheese and bacon poking out from the edge A pan with stir-fry in it and a black serving spoon sticking out In the stir-fry is chicken, rainbow carrots, green capsicum, mushrooms (Swiss brown and white button), brocolli and Hokkien noodles. The sauce used was hoisin and garlic.
