You're 100% correct, I do know I'm incredibly lucky and privileged where I can go around the world and people are now used to the fact I'll speak to them in my native tongue and expect them to understand.
Looks like I'm going to the world's biggest record fair in Den Bosch, Holland next month. Something I've wanted to do for years, and as it happens my dad is coming along, and we're getting the ferry from Hull to Rotterdam. The old sea dog (my dad) is ex merchant navy, so he's so hyped for the ferry.
