I think they're ideal for that. Bought one when I was 16, in 1981. Think it was a '76 model. Kept it for 30 years. Butterscotch and rosewood. Wish I had it now. Sniff.

They're great, aren't they? Probably acopryphal is a musician dropping his tele down a flight of stairs and someone having to check if the stairs were alright. Hope you have many happy years together.

Any particular inspiration behind this choice? Springsteen? Cornwell?! Perkins?

Crippen, Christie, Nilsen...

Far from the most important thing, but very much enjoyed the "bollocking" reference in a report of US court proceedings to, primarily, a US audience!

It really is. A long wait until I see them in Edinburgh next year.

Completely agree with the Brother mono lazer recommendations. A real workhorse with quality output. Mine is the HL-2350DW

I've spent much of my 60 years watching BBC news and have decided to stop in the last year or so. I think I've earned an opinion but recognise I cannot be up to date with what is a daily occurrence.

Lovely to read this. Went there in May for a family occasion, our daughter living in Sale, and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Deserves all the good promotion it can get.

Why do these people claim to be so upset at being labelled "racist" when they work so hard to clearly deserve the label?

That's well worth the sacrifice. Biggest musical disappointment ever for me was when their London gig was cancelled on the day, just as we were heading off for it, with Andy having a terrible time of things. Don't think they played live again. Hope it's magnificent.

Can't see anyone has yet suggested Massive Attack (with Shara Nelson) Unfinished Sympathy, or the Verve's similar sounding Bittersweet Symphony. The videos for both featuring the singer walking around the block (one of them a bit carelessly).

What a lovely region it is.

Funny one, wasn't it? But it was all new material...

Sorry if the link didn't open. Radio Clyde broadcast of the New Year's Dance gig December 81. Kenny's cowbells to the fore!

Not an expert! But a company I work with uses Box. It seems to work well enough in terms of getting material to me but I haven't personally used it to send stuff the other way.

Look for more competent analysis than from this semi-retired employment lawyer. Less favourable treatment on grounds of protected characteristic can prob be shown. The big Q may be around status of X as service provider under this legislation - onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10....
