I don't have a single bad memory about school. In elementary. before I found an outlet through tap dancing, school kept me alive. Teachers liked me because I worked hard. We hadn't gotten into boys yet, so the other girls and I had great times together. No teasing for being a "brain" until jr high!

Yes! Exactly! So many times, in response sharing my sexual abuse is a look seeming to say, "Shouldn't you be in bed, perhaps being fed soup?" Hyper-consciousness was part what I had to deal with, into my 20s, when I found a healing path. The idea was "If Im perfect, abuse will stop." #ptsd #trauma
