They said an app owned by someone close to an autocratic leader might be used as propaganda.

Last year, the U.S. government debated then followed through on banning TikTok.

The only reason I still have to spend time on Twitter is because powerful people, like Canada’s MPs, continue to spend most of their time there as opposed to other social platforms.
So let’s pressure them to move elsewhere!

U.S. democracy will likely break down during the second Trump administration, in the sense that it will cease to meet standard criteria for liberal democracy: full adult suffrage, free and fair elections, and broad protection of civil liberties.
