I really think the new belt is gonna be more about other promotions and less about AEW. It's an excuse to get more AEW stars to travel the world, and bring more international stars in. They didn't have the same connections they did when the International Title debuted. They can do more with it now.
Wasn't that what the International title was supposed to be though? Then they unified it with the Continental title, and Okada isn't even really defending it in any meaningful way. I don't have an issue with adding belts, but this seems to be a do-over.

Why are people complaining about a cross-promotional belt again? You can kill so many birds with one stone with that thing. Tony Khan can do a lot with it.
