Yes indeed! As we encourage our children to be members of the Clean Plate Club we should strive to be members of the Clean Fridge Club and the Shopping List Club. Composting peels, cores, and other scraps for a kitchen garden also helps the planet while providing tasty, fresh, and free produce.

This is one side of the sign I have carried at both No Kings protests. I am convinced that people concerned about the grave threats to our democracy and planet need to vote with their wallets for things that are better for Earth and the Constitution and against the Trump enabling oligarchies.

I was out there with several hundred in Muncie Indiana. A 96 year old Korean War veteran who also was a long time UAW member stood out there with us for over one hour in the hot sun. NPR reported on the local rally but little other coverage.
