The liberals slide continues with its current MP’s. I believe Libs will disappear after the next election if they rely on their current leadership group. Australia needs a viable alternative conservative political party, the current iteration is not it.

Democracy is difficult

No doubt Ronni. The Libs leadership spot is a poisoned chalice isn’t it? As incompetent as Ley is imo at least, by anointing Ley as interim leader it would show the Libs as getting the message from majority of Australians. Question is which direction will Libs go, back to centre or further right.

I voted for my community independent today. All volunteers from all parties were kind, gentle & gracious. Nor did I choose to antagonise anyone. Bought a Democracy Sausage & Coffee a brief chat with strangers. All in all a lovely day to vote & celebrate democracy. We Australians are so lucky.

Thanks for vigilance across the board Michael👍. Makes one think on these things when a pic at Gina’s party a couple of months ago showed ex RBA governor Phillip Lowe attending🤔 . My tin foil hat may need trimming😬

Like the NRA covertly supporting minor political parties to weaken gun laws in Australia we now are looking at being a larger customer for the military industrial complex.

Agree entirely Ronni. Despite all the tooing & froing of all media outlets I feel Labor will return having to work with a larger x bench & the liberals may well face decimation. Well I hope anyway😬

There’s an existential shift in politics & the journalism around it all of late. Journos seem to be going in for the kill on Dutton, good. But why the turn around in MSM reporting? Albanese & Lachlan lunch meetings? Are deals being done with the devil? Does my tinfoil hat need more tinfoil🤔🫤

The desperation of a politician to clear her name & standing in the community will only cement her actions. As an enabler of male dominance within her party as well as her incompetence in her role. She’s not the only enabler of course the LNP is full of them bar Bridget Archer.
April 25, 2025 at 2:37 PM
I grew up in a Labor family & voted accordingly. The fundamentals between both majors were clear cut ALP worker LNP business I believe that still exist, a basic difference. Australia has changed (obviously) in the 50 years I’ve been voting as have political parties. I’ll be voting Com Ind this time

Does Ms Norman write her own reports? How is the death of a pope & where Dutton was when he heard about it news? How can a news department have those like Ms Norman at one end of the spectrum to Ms Tingle at complete opposite end in news & analysis?
April 22, 2025 at 11:39 AM
The current iteration of the LNP is what’s left of the dregs. They’d do well to change direction as a progressive Conservative Party, a viable alternative political party & not take the electorate for fools.

I wonder if this person reads history (facetious) Reminds me of the brutes of the earlier manifestations of a fascist movement in Europe in the 1930’s. Thankfully majority Australians see this for what it is & this joker is part of the minority.
April 17, 2025 at 11:13 AM
And hopefully followed by a conga line of the clueless shadow ministry. Australia needs a progressive conservative alternative. With the likes of B Archer & Matt Kean.

Liberal party is facing decimation they may as well make the drovers dog the leader.

Trump playbook

Same happening in my area with 3 private schools continuous expansion, renovation & modern facilities Private schools to Uni became a thing for parents in the eighties to where they are today. Govt & technical schools became passe’ ergo; Not enough trades & multitude of useless Uni qualifications.
April 10, 2025 at 5:32 AM
Taylor along with Dutton, Hume, Cash, O’Brien & Ley are flailing in the wind. The Liberal party is facing decimation at the election of the current iteration of said political rejects that are purely a disruptive political pariah.

The ABC’s news dept is failing in its bid to match itself with commercial networks & ratings. Apart from a couple of exceptions the on air “talent” from those commercial networks lack the mentorship of years of experience by seasoned analytical staff. Without fear or favour.
April 9, 2025 at 9:58 PM
Newstainment. Our national broadcaster has been inflicted (infected) by a commercial management chasing ratings & apparent relevance. Quality & trust brings its own audience. This is a good example of why ABC is currently under threat like never before.

“Who’s naughty & who’s nice”. The powers creating this list seem hell bent on creating a dystopian regime. History repeats in a world turned upside down.

Who are the puppet masters, are there any? In 2000 years will history books tell the story of how Trump fiddled the books while America disintegrated around him. Who the hell is in charge!

Thanks for sharing Amy. And we wonder why the majority German population didn’t enquire about the Holocaust happening in their own country & region. What is happening to Palestinians & other genocides is horrific. Apart from some, the world looks away.
