Alliance for Felix Cove is seeking to protect the only remaining Támal-ko (Coast Miwok) built home on ancestral homelands
A powerful evening of community last month at TelHi Books. ✨
Grateful to hear Theresa Harlan share readings connected to her Támal-ko family stories, and to celebrate Sara Calvosa Olson's (@thefrybreadriot) beautiful cookbook, Chími Nu’am.
Nights like this, are the heart of the work.
Ka Molis.

Javi learned to build a toy tule canoe at this year’s tule build — felt every emotion and then helped others build theirs. This work to rematriate and defend Felix Cove is made possible by community support. Help protect the Felix Family home — donate: app.betterunite.com/alliance-for...

Indigenous voices must be at the table.
Our vision? Rematriation.
Returning land to Indigenous care.
Healing ecology through ancestral knowledge.
Building a Living History Center.

This #GiveNative Day, two truths frame our fight for Felix Cove:
Truth 1: Támal-ko (Coast Miwok) care for this land spans 15,000+ years. The last family was forced out in the 1950s.
Truth 2: Right now, we can change the story. The National Park Service is planning for Point Reyes.

$105B to nonprofits in '22. Only $263M to Native-led orgs.
That’s 0.25%. Let that sink in.
This #GivingTuesday, remember: Investing in Native-led nonprofits supports Native-led solutions.
The Támal-ko people thrived at Támal liwa for generations.

Give to Alliance for Felix Cove to help rematriate sacred sites, rebuild healing pathways, and reIndigenize the land.

The Támal-ko people thrived for generations on Tamal liwa’s shores. Colonial displacement nearly erased them. Descendants are reclaiming home and history.

During Native American Heritage Month, we celebrate Native culture and history. But gratitude requires action. Of the $105 billion given to nonprofits by private foundations in 2022, only $263 million (0.25%) went to Native-led orgs.

Our community and land stewards are the heart of Felix Cove, centering Támal-ko/Coast Miwok voices. Thanks for doubling support last month through #HalfMyDAF. This Indigenous People’s Month, please continue giving. Ka Molis! app.betterunite.com/alliance-for...

On this day in 1969, our relatives, "All Tribes" landed on Alcatraz and declared "We Hold the Rock". The 19-month occupation made visible injustices & inspired organized action that changed U.S. policy & public awareness.

Walk the Tamal-liwa coast where Monterey pines sway and waves crash. This land pulses with life — deer, hummingbirds, bat rays — inviting us to reclaim our place in this thriving ecosystem.

We honor Indigenous women and men veterans for their service and sacrifice, like Vietnam veteran and Huckleberry Brother, Tiger. Forgoing public recognition for veteran mutual recognition that emerges from ball caps and t-shirts revealing military service, branch, and tribal affiliation.🪶

Ka Molis to all who joined us this summer and fall. On October 4 & 5, we came together at Tamal liwa to build a Tule Canoe and honor shared relationships & waters.
We reconnected and celebrated at McNear's Beach on Oct 26, with a special screening of the Tule Film by Jocelyn Garcia

Thankful for a summer of connection and growth at Felix Cove. We harvested tule, made baskets, welcomed Native youth for a campout, and deepened ties through our Rematriation of Art workshops and completed our Tule Build!
