"Defund the police" wasn't a bad slogan; it's a tricky concept. The police do not do what most people think they do. They do not protect and serve. However, having a force that protects and serves could be a good thing.
"Abolish ICE" is good though because the organization's entire premise is racism

Assassin's Creed does, in a way, have a forced diversity problem. Only insomuch as Syndicate, Odyssey, and Valhalla would have been much better without the option to be the male MC

Something that both The Simpsons and 30 Rock understood back in the day is that if you visually/stylistically reference really good things it doesn't matter if people get the reference, they will still be watching something good

Very little impresses me more than high-level Tetris players. Absolutely jaw-dropping. But Puyo players? They're wizards. They're inhuman monsters. What they do is impossible

Bad: Fez: 90% of the game is very boring, but the final puzzles are so complex and obtuse that even looking at the game's code doesn't help
Good: Obra Dinn: All the puzzles seamlessly tie into a larger story

I haven't played Silent Hill 4 in, like, 4 years. Even then I never got past the first level. Lately I've been having Silent Hill 4 dreams. Surely this is a sign that I'm in a good place mentally

Letterboxd, for all its single-sentence-joke-review problems, still draws attention to very well written reviews, and good writers are noticed. Backloggd does not do this. All the good reviews are essentially ignored in favor of Discord-centric discussion. Probably a problem with games as a whole
