Fiercely proud of every person who is brave enough to stand in front of that blank canvas with a new brush and ask, “ok, where are we going?” Thank you for joining me on this journey of discovery.
“That is a chapter of ancient history which it might be good to recall; for there was sorrow then too, and gathering dark, but great valor, and great deeds that were not wholly vain.”

Currently impressed with the flexibility and professionalism at thé Hawkesbury hospital. Two thumbs up for this team. The anesthesiologist just came in to check our neighbour and floated gracefully from English to French then landed on Spanish as his preferred language.🥹
Impressive.

After five fairly professional posts, I believe I’m allowed a post with the studiokatz. Here’s the convo with Mama Abbey, rescued from the alleys of Gatineau.
From starving with kittens to “very demure. Very mindful.”

These are the moments.
The afternoon acrylic group exploring The Group of Seven @Ottawa School of Art has really understood the assignment. I requested they try alternative mark making tools on this 100+year old masterwork depicting northern Ontario.
I feel transported. Thank you.

My dad (@ 84) painting what he loves after a lifetime of working in inks. Not a fan of brushes and acrylics, but it’s what I have for him. Way to go Dad!
