No not hard to believe because many men have done the same throughout history. Look at Hitler, Saddam Hussein, Napoleon, King Henry VIII, Nero, Stalin, Lenin, etc. There are plenty of bad actors in history. Problem is, people die and then people forget. It’s a neverending revolving door.

Agree completely. I’ve said the same thing and I’m an atheist 😂 he’s truly an evil man!

I’ve been there once. I was fortunate to see it in bloom. Gotta say tho, Joshua trees are one funky looking tree 😂

Except to call us terrorists and radicals and communists. We are none of those. Protesting is not terrorism, it’s our first amendment right! And if any have become radical, it’s a direct result of extreme right wing radicals like the Proud Boys and QAnon.

play my Seahawks, which is rare, although they did play them once a season for 3 years. They didn’t play them this year tho, so my loyalty was not challenged 😂 The Seahawks had a lot of challenges on their road to the SB too. The Lions will make it. They just need to not give up. I’ll cont rooting!
December 27, 2025 at 8:18 AM
I agree. And some teams just get away with whatever they want, like the Chiefs. The Lions are only my secondary team because I live in Detroit, it’s hard not to like them and their energy. My team is the Seahawks. I’m a born and raised PNW native. The only time I don’t root for the Lions is if they

I just mentioned Joy Reid in a reply. I got her and Katie Phang confused. It was Joy Reid who got fired and Katie Phang quit. Regardless, they just want to get the truth out and I admire that immensely!
December 27, 2025 at 8:08 AM
Ahh. I honestly can’t keep track anymore. Thanks for the correction and now that you mentioned it, I remember she quit. It was Joy Reid that was fired and maybe who I was thinking of. Regardless, they quit or were fired because they wanted to tell the truth. I truly admire that!

Well maybe that was why he had such bizarre dreams, it would explain it, especially if he was mixing lol. He is one odd duck, but an amazing writer!

I was in the Navy and my command of 170 people was only allowed 2 licenses for Adobe Pro. In legal tho, everyone had it, because redactions came with the job. Can’t officially redact without Adobe Pro.

Thank you ☺️
December 27, 2025 at 12:12 AM
Yep! Oh yea, you blink and you might miss his cameos, they are all very small, but it is cool.

It’s a big reason I’m on BS, the number of independent journalists here helps me see reality as it is, not how the admin pretends it to be.
December 26, 2025 at 11:50 PM
A lot of his writing are based on his dreams and nightmares. Ever seen where he lives in Maine? He has gargoyles on his house. I know years ago I read he used to sleep during the day and write at night to avoid the nightmares because they were so bad.
December 26, 2025 at 11:47 PM
Some don’t. Not all of his books are horror. I recommended 11/22/63 because it’s more sci-fi than horror. Best to start out slow with SK so as to not scare the bejesus out of yourself!
December 26, 2025 at 11:43 PM
I loved the movie Misery too. Kathy Bates was freaking amazing in that movie!
December 26, 2025 at 11:39 PM
I don’t blame you. You gotta do what is best for you (and your own mental health). Even if I had stayed, it wouldn’t have held out for long. You’re stronger than a lot of us for stomaching it for so long.
December 26, 2025 at 11:37 PM
Did you know that movie was the only SK book to movie that SK did not participate in? That’s why there isn’t a cameo of him. After I read the book, I thought they didn’t do a great job in the movie explaining what was really going on at the Overlook. And they put a maze in place of lawn animals.🙄
December 26, 2025 at 11:33 PM
Ooo, that’s a good one. The movie was good too. Max von Sydow as the protagonist was amazing…and scary!
December 26, 2025 at 11:29 PM
Clowns freak me out to this day because of that movie!
December 26, 2025 at 11:28 PM
Almost recommended that one, it’s a great book, but 11/22/63 is what I ultimately recommended. New King readers should start out with less scary/freaky books imo to see if they like his writing. I won’t even read IT and refuse to watch the remake because the original movie scared the crap out of me!
December 26, 2025 at 11:27 PM
Agree! And I’ve read most of his books. I recommended the same one!
December 26, 2025 at 11:24 PM
I recommend 11/22/63, Insomnia, or his short stories to start out. Some of his books are scary as shit, so it’s best to start out with his less scary stuff first to see if you like his writing. I’ve liked every book I’ve read from him (and his pseudo name Richard Bachman). 11/22/63 is REALLY GOOD!
December 26, 2025 at 11:22 PM
To spy on the opposition! I don’t blame you tho, I left twitter when it became X. I knew the muskrat would turn it into a right wing echo chamber and I was right. Also I think the muskrat is a disgusting, drug-addled neo-Nazi who has absolutely no morals at all. Most really rich people don’t.

I gotta admit, I used to hate subtitles, but my daughter of all people got me used to them. Now I can’t live without them. Some movies, especially action movies, you have to turn down the volume during action scenes and turn up when talking. I also have hearing issues and can’t understand mumbling.
