I am not excusing it. Companies do not care about you playing their older version of games. That doesn't make them money. All they care about you buying the newest version of the game.

Never said it was ok. It is a company. it wants you to buy the most recent and what they consider best version of the game. The most efficient way for their profit(no matter how anybody feels about it) is delisting the old version. The old version will stay for download if you own it at the 8th dec.
