It's perplexing how some can connect with Barbie's emotionally resonant song in the movie, yet remain impervious to the vicious treatment of sentient farm animals at our hands, whose lives are devalued far more than that of an inanimate, fictional, human-created Barbie doll.

Living with cognitive dissonance is easy, but we have a responsibility as morally evolved individuals to recognize the consequences of our actions towards other earthlings, and to update our beliefs and actions accordingly.
