Once the relationship is established, she undergirds it all by showing that she can be serious and her feelings for KN are not frivolous. If you pay attention to Yoko's acting throughout the scene, you see the nuance that she brings to the role. This scene must be the reason SS2E3 has so many views!

I think this scene is further proof that AN's supposedly annoying behaviors in SS1 were similarly calculated. It may not work for everybody, but it sure worked on KN. AN knows how to use her cuteness to win people over and you can see how Aunty Nim quickly takes to her and starts caring for her.

You can read it at face value, or you can see it as AN shrewdly strategizing to bit by bit get just "a little bit closer," as the theme for Be My Boo coincidentally plays in the background. Does she purposely cut her finger, I wonder? Finally, sensing Aunty Nim warming up, she inches right next her.

She tries a few different approaches at first. You can almost see a split second of frustration on her face when her attempt to compliment Aunty Nim's cooking was rebuked. But she quickly finds an inroad by complimenting KN's Grandma.

It makes sense from a narrative perspective for an age-gap romance. Anueng is very shrewd in what she does, says, and how far she goes, always looking to climb that wall between them a little more. After half way through the first season, she doesn't need to use it as much, well except for...

When she doesn't get an immediate answer, she creates chaos to get Khun Nueng to scold her and also answer the question. This kind of interaction plays out multiple times in the first three episodes. Anueng will do something outlandish, then do something to try to close the gap between her and KN

To what extent is she regretting her actions already? What are her expectations going forward? All this must have been swirling around in her mind. Then, an opportunity for reconciliation is at her door, but not the one she (or the viewer) was hoping for

In the second clip, her back is to the camera, but I can’t help wondering what went through her mind for a split second when the outline of a brown haired woman appears before her

Of course all this is superbly acted by #FayeYoko with a chemistry so intense that some scenes feel like there is no screen separating the actors and the viewer. But it’s the well crafted writing that allows these characters to shine. This is also why the series will soon reach 300 million views

Khun Nueng is cautious, self-doubting, and confused. She needs time to comprehend this feeling inside her. She struggles to accept it is real. Both characters have been deeply wounded up to the point of coming into each other's lives, which plays a role in both deepening and destroying their love.

Anueng, the most misunderstood GL character, was written FROM THE VERY START to be clever, kind, emotionally intelligent, and deliberate with her every action. She dances in and out of a childish prodding of Khun Nueng, strategically lowering her her mask to display her actual maturity.

The point is not to compare or put down others, but to say we all choose our tolerances. Fiction is not real life, so they can play around with boundaries. The question is does the script earn it. Everything in BTS was delicately crafted to bring us to a point of understanding how we ended up here

So let’s talk age gap. No one can say it isn’t taboo, so some will always reject. Ok fine. Here are some other toxic things chose at random: exploiting a workplace power dynamic (GTS), catfishing (23.5, Pluto), self harm for attention (TSOU). Fiction can use toxic things to tell a story

You can make the argument that the romance has the slowest build of any of the Thai GLs this year. They took their time to make a seemingly outrageous connection meaningful, genuine, and necessary for both characters to achieve their best outcomes. Ofc the slow build was necessitated by the age gap

This is an overlooked reason as to why Blank is the most rewatched show this year. People who skipped it assume it’s merely obsessing over love scenes (which ok is fair to an extent) but passion can’t exist in a vacuum. It’s what brings them together and how they overcome their challenges
