Views from the Long Road to Nowhere!

This past Marine Day I decided to hike Nokogiriyama, on the Boso Peninsular, Chiba.

Not the tallest mountain, but it gave a commanding view of Tokyo Bay

The Long Road to Nowhere.

The Kanto Fureai no Michi is a 1,800km circular route made up of 160 individual hikes traversing the mountains of the Kanto Plain.

Every journey starts with a single step, and this journey starts on The Lake Trail, just south of Takaosanguchi station, in west Tokyo.

I went to Teamlabs Planets the other night, and it was a wonderful experience, if a bit full. I definitely want to go back and spend longer to get more/better photos!

But here are some hallway shots from ‘Water’

The Tower Daijingu is an active Shinto shrine housing the sun goddess Amaterasu Omikami, located in the main hall of the Tokyo Tower, 150m over the city.

Where the tallest shrine you’ve been to?

Back to our regularly scheduled content. The top deck (250m up) of Tokyo Tower has mirrors at various angles, and a lit floor, adding a surreal atmosphere to the views.

To the left of the main hall of Sensō-ji is the Yōgō-dō Pavilion, which houses 8 Buddhas who look over the animals of the zodiac. Between the two buildings is a small patch of serenity.
