Nice piece highlighting the citizen heroes in Minneapolis. However, the Atlantic has built its brand by relentless trolling liberals, portraying them as morally vacuous woke-bots, snowflakes, etc. All the contrarian gotcha articles were fun and games until Trump ended up back in the white house.

This was a great piece. The Nee York Times news reporting on Minneapolis has been awful, constant both-siding, privileging Trump regime lies, framing everything through Renee Good’s shooting. this Is the first piece in the Times that seems to grasp and report on what’s actually happening.

There need to be more follow up questions from journalists to encourage reflection of how votes affect actual policy decisions. There’s such a squeamishness from journalists to discuss who these people voted for. It’s Not “neutral” to avoid asking the question altogether, it’s cowardly.
