Yet again Kemi showing her ignorance. Home office has no legal role in the decisions of the Safety Advisory Group, whether it is the right or the wrong decision. I am an ex chair of such I group. She should get decent advise before commenting, but why change what she normally does!

Took the train to Newton Abbot to walk up to Stover, along Templer Way. Got so far to see 60 meters of path, railway line (disused) and a 20 meter wide bank washed away. Just a few Goldcrest for my efforts, though GN Diver off Starcross and 2 more off Dawlish W

2 GWE, Glossy Ibis, Green Sandpiper, 6 Lapwing, 2 Little Grebe, Kingfisher and a Swallow on Powderham Marsh RSPB today. 7 spp of butterfly too. Corn Marigold in the fields. 164+ Coot on the Exminster Marsh lagoon, Little Grebe but not too much else.

A look around the local sites was quite productive today. 10+ Chiffchaff, mostly in wooded strip down from Salmon Pool. Also Kestrel, Kingfisher M and Song Thrush in that area. Common Sandpiper and Grey Wagtail at Trew Weir, along with 13+ Cormorant & 4 Coot. Spindle looking great at Salmon Pool.
