.. and especially wonderful to meet @dralastaircurry.bsky.social and colleagues from U. Hertfordshire, and colleagues from U. Lausanne in field at #Turtmann #glacier to talk about #moraines, #rockglaciers and thermal #UAV flights!

#GoOrGrow fieldwork successfully completed! Captured high resolution #UAV images, read out #TOMST loggers, found a miniature #solifluction #lobe and camped in beautiful Pipjitälli for early morning flights. Thanks @leonduurkoop.bsky.social for great help! #biogeomorphology

New open access paper on headwall erosion of a deglaciating cirque in the Swiss Alps. In our study we found that headwall erosion is driven by frost weathering and permafrost rather than glacier induced rockfall.

Thanks Alastair! :)

It's been an exciting, but sometimes also exhausting scientific journey across mountain slopes and disciplinary boundaries. This required a big team effort, so special thanks to all students, colleagues, co-authors & two very young biogeomorphologists joining & supporting me!
