We live in a world where all that is good and beautiful is getting destroyed, suppressed, distorted, and tortured, but we don't even have time to mourn any of it because the relentless rythm of capital chokes us every day. We can't even heal, we can't fucking breathe in front of all this horror...

These videos are produced in-house by a small animation cell in the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit, working mainly in After Effects + Blender

In a TikTok posted after Israel's June attacks on Iran, soldiers describe working weeks under “prime-minister-level secrecy” to prepare visuals

NEW: Since October 2023, the IDF Spokesperson's Unit has released dozens of 3D animations illustrating alleged Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iranian sites

The style is now unmistakable: satellite zoom-ins, black & white wireframes, and red-textured houses - a new visual language of war

I feel like I can already guess some of things to do or not do, and like how listening and caring are crucial, but it's always good to ask people directly concerned!!

If some moots (or non-moots) have recommendations wrt how to make trans people comfortable/feel safe/etc when meeting in person (e.g. when going to a queer event), please let me know.

I genuinely love the trans ppl I've met on here, but I wish to make local friends now! 😌❤️

[Note: I'm cis man]

I actually think a couple of romantic relationships would probably help me figure out these things for good. So far it's mostly "in my head", you know?
And I've mostly been thinking "what does it mean to be a cishet man who doesn't want to be a Man?" But who knows what the future holds? 😌😌

😌🥰 talking with you is a blessing, I really love you Beth ❤️❤️

Apologies for sending you a full essay in response lol😅🫶

witnessing a couple of girl friends transition (at least one who I knew before her transition!) + seeing lesbians enjoy beautiful relationships, is inspirational for me more than anything. I feel like this process of emancipatory love and embodiment and so on needs to be emulated somehow for me...
alraven.bsky.social
the gender "Man-as-patriarch" will need to be abolished to allow everyone to be actually free and happy. And wrt trans women and lesbianism part of the reason is I freaking love women and I've slowly come to terms with how much they're suffering/tortured in the present regime and so
alraven.bsky.social
Sorry I'm as usual overanalyzing it all... It's probable I'm some kind of queer gender - "a faggot of some kind" -, perhaps nonbinary. But the thing that makes me go "I'm still cis" is I've never felt "not (like) a man" at all, just intellectually because of (trans)feminists I've realized that
alraven.bsky.social
Like self-emasculation both as a process of gender/social disempowerment ("killing Manhood") AND as self-affirmation, as a way to come up with and practice different, freeing ways of living with/loving/caring for other people and empowering them to also betray cispatriarchy
alraven.bsky.social
the process of "becoming someone else" (including gender-wise, wrt what it means both personally and socially), maybe that's why I (I think?) mirror some trans(fem) sentiments maybe!!! ???
alraven.bsky.social
"become some kind of faggot".
What I find kinda funny is that for anyone else this logic would sound very oppressive - like a conversion therapy/reeducation camp - but what trans/queer/lesbian friends made me aspire to is ANOTHER WAY TO RELATE TO GENDER which means embracing
alraven.bsky.social
Because yes I'm profoundly disgusted by what my "gender" represents socially, and how most cis men feel their gender is "affirmed/validated" if you know what I mean... So while I feel actually very good in my body as it is etc, I do relate strongly to sth you said that even cishet men will need to
alraven.bsky.social
Like I said in the conclusion of my text - and I quoted something you had said! - I think I'm in a process/journey of transforming my - and that all cis men should change their/our - gender (our embodiment, relation to ourselves and the world, ways to care about/take care of others, sexuality, etc)
alraven.bsky.social
😇 So far, yes I'm pretty sure.
In terms of who/what I am, my own body, etc, I do feel really good.

However yes learning from/ symphatizing with/chatting with trans women and lesbians has made me think a lot about what gender and relationships mean to me, and what I want/aspire to...

"Silence now risks normalizing the use of hunger as a political tool—not only in Ethiopia but in conflicts settings across the world. By naming and recording what happened in Tigray, we contribute to a body of memory that resists denial and insists on accountability."
