naming your band Patriarchy is funny to begin with but "special guest: Patriarchy" really has quite a ring to it

i can see why teenagers can't stand their parents because of course it's annoying that we can't let go of the time you said 'chillocket' instead of 'chocolate' 14 years ago

when Netflix cancels a show after one season, do you think they say "on the bright side, now we can put you in the Watch In One Weekend recommendations menu!"

i wish 'logicality' wasn't a real word, it's impossible to use without it sounding like you're forcing in a longer, more awkward synonym for 'logic'

the puns will continue until more al improves

if a human being posts a selfie and you feed that photo to ai and change their outfit, a hand should reach out of the computer and punch you in the face

i suppose. coming of age when jay-z and dmx were dropping every year, though, i'm just like "that's what you do when you're poppin, talk your shit taylor!"

come to think of it, "boring barbie" is a crazy nickname to give someone else if you made the worst song on barbie: the album
alshipley.bsky.social
"no way out" and "waiting" are nice too! lol

"The song is an ode to the captivating power of hotpants, which he and his band first saw on their 1970 European tour." #WikipediaSentences

Yeah... not as many grim drug deaths as the end of the 60s but the 70s ended with a lot of bands hitting a creative wall or splitting up (and a few deaths)

today was i think the 4th time one of my teleprompter glass panes has broken in the 13 years I've been doing this. and the first time it was 100% not my fault! but the stage crew guy who tripped was very traumatized and apologetic, and very relieved that i had backup glass.

i have spent hours and hours outside in the last 3 days really enjoying this weather, even if it means getting eaten up by mosquitos and my stuff getting blown around by the wind

i put in an order at a taco spot and gave them my first name, and the only other person who ordered in the 15 minutes i was there was also an Alex. what are the odds!

"return to form" is such a funny phrase, makes an artist sound like a memory foam mattress

Eagles and FM and CT all following up the big career high point in different ways at once, interesting
alshipley.bsky.social
I don't feel like even that happened...yes someone who cranked out albums every 2 years like clockwork took 3 years for the really big one but there has truly never been any uncertainty about whether she would return with another album relatively soon ever in her career

jeremy piven was the schrodinger's me too, like he was already a guy with a seedy vibe who was barely working anymore when the allegations started coming out so it's hard to tell if it changed anything
alshipley.bsky.social
there was mystery before?

neopronouns...is that like instead of being "he" or "she" you're just "the one"?

Amazon drivers had some systemic navigation issue that had them constantly delivering our packages to a house a block away with a similar address and vice versa, I'm glad we and our neighbors always helped each other through that
