Today's card is #16, Haunting Voyage! I love the art. The effect's pretty cool too, but really, I'm just here for that sweet sweet Randy Vargas ghost ship. There's also some cool design space in making Foretell/Morph costs more expensive for bonus effects, instead of just cost reduction

Today's card is #16, Haunting Voyage! I love the art. The effect's pretty cool too, but really, I'm just here for that sweet sweet Randy Vargas ghost ship. There's also some cool design space in making Foretell/Morph costs more expensive for bonus effects, instead of just cost reduction
#15 is Mechtitan Core! It's Voltron! I love Voltron! Everyone loves Voltron. Thats it its JUST Voltron and its fucking awesome. Also, not legendary, so you can technically assemble a mechtitan out of 5 mechtitan cores. The signature is from an old friend who shares a name with a Voltron character.

Ok I promise it's the last mardu card for real now. yk what's great? destroying permanents. yk what's even better? destroying *every* nonland permanent(except yours). The art and flavor text(which this printing sadly misses out on) are also standouts. #14 is Ruinous Ultimatum!

Dragonstorm really was all killer no filler huh. #13 is a new take on Flamerush Rider, another favorite of mine. Anyone who's worked with chickens can confirm that getting deathtouch& haste while riding one is absolutely correct. Give it up for Mardu Siegebreaker!

I could go on about how i love this design for an hour but i will just say that Alesha, in her life, worked every day to raise up her people and in death, the Mardu carry on her legend to do so better than she ever could alone. Number 12 is Smile At Death!

OKAY WE CUT IT CLOSE BECAUSE I ALMOST FORGOT TODAY BUT HERES #11, THE OTHER TRANSGENDER MARDU 3DROP, DEATHGREETER'S CHAMPION! Dash and Backup are two of my favorite mechanics and the way this card puts them together is such a neat, slick design that also happens to make this card a fucking house

Day 10 is the first legendary creature I ever cracked from a pack, and the first trans character* in Magic's history, Alesha, Who Smiles at Death! A weird gotcha of color identity rules and a very silly reanimator commander best played in a deck full of dumb little stax creatures
