Sorry for the delay! Truth be told, there’s not much local can do after the fact. However, local gov can weigh in on proposed laws, so if a person is aware of what states are working towards, they can petition their local gov to send state their opinion of it.

The majority of my council has been replaced on the premise that they would “take back” the 1% sales tax from the fire department, and lower utility bills to 2015 costs. 🙄
