Nate’s 100% right. There’s zero downside for 2028 hopefuls to criticize the Hunter pardon—plus it shows they’re not scared of an intra-coalition fight. Exactly the kind of course correction Biden failed to make.

I still think about how Congressional Progressive Caucus sunk permitting reform in 2022 because they didn’t want to give Mountain Valley pipeline to Manchin and then Manchin got it just 6 months later for nothing.
