On May5, 1862 a small, ill-equipped,inexperienced Mexican army defeated well-armed,powerful French invaders in Puebla. Mexican conservatives had backed the foreigners in hopes of ousting the liberal gov't of Benito Juarez. Cons colluding with foreigners betraying their nation-sound familiar?
