Yeah that’s the thing, the characters needed to be more “love to hate them” characters rather than oh-let’s-make-this-arsehole-redeemable characters. And Taggie, who I think we are supposed to root for, is very bland and uninteresting

It is good storytelling but I didn’t feel much for most of the characters. But it’s always fun when fans can meme and make thirst posts.
I feel like if it was centering morally ambiguous characters, it needed to lean more into the camp or trashiness and just have fun with it.
