Do you think you post here without hitting a data center or using AI

stop grooming him omg

That’s on Google unfortunately

Like even on centralized/closed social media you can obv just scrape the posts but it’s possible to do this at scale and programmatically with both atproto and activitypub in a way that I don’t think most normal people expect. At best you’re requesting someone purge it from their cache.
December 5, 2025 at 5:33 PM
Like on both you’re basically relying on someone to delete the posts for you in some way, it’s possible to archive them all and not particularly difficult to do so imo. But on activitypub there’s a very real chance your deletion request doesn’t even reach some servers.
December 5, 2025 at 5:29 PM
also I actually do think the UI around deleting posts on both atproto services and activitypub is a little hopeful and misleading about what actually happens and what you can expect
December 5, 2025 at 5:27 PM
That’s different than merely obfuscating them in a way that doesn’t rly work anyway

no reason not to get the xbox version btw it works on PC/mobile/ps5 the same way, it just includes a dongle with a switch that makes it work on xbox lol

I imagine this is pretty particular to lunar lake/laptop SoCs but hell yeah. I still have some slowdown sometimes but basically any time I used the gnome or KDE workspace overview with my external monitor attached there was a decent (not 100%) chance it would lowkey freeze my system for a few secs

the subreddit was having a meltdown about how you Should NEver Do This the other day

ofc you do

The DoE presentation screenshot specifically cites other use cases, one being robotics. At a certain point i feel it’s taking the buzzwords for face value for ragbait purposes when the actual tech being discussed is varied.
December 5, 2025 at 12:15 PM
the article you’ve just linked mentions only the use of AI to automate regulatory approval and the insistence from certain actors to skirt nuclear regulations, it does not actually address all the topics addressed by the 404 article I quoted.
December 5, 2025 at 12:11 PM
any design choice that a) breaks links on the web and b) encourages screenshotting is a bad design choice.

so my criticism wasn’t that it was incorrect, as you’ll find me discussing elsewhere in the thread, my criticism was that it was, like most reporting from 404 on this topic, ragebait that repeated verbatim these claims without dissection or distinction. glad you’re having a normal one tho!

I hear you but a single slow rider can block a bike line, it’s not just a cargo delivery bike doing that. Most bike lanes aren’t wide enough for passing without going contraflow in the other lane.
