Revisiting some old work. I had so much fun back when I shot these for a video I made on the Pentax 67.

I made this video a few years ago. It was not easy to be so vulnerable but I wanted to connect with anyone who may be dealing with illness. I hope you’ll watch and share it. It’s one of my most heartfelt videos to date and I wanted to share it again.

I’ve shot both Kodak Portra 800 and Lomography CN 800 extensively over the past few years, so I thought I’d share some things I’ve found in case you’re trying to decide if you want to try one of these films. Visit my website for more! #filmphotography

Kodak Portra 800 VS Lomography CN800
While Kodak Portra 800 and Lomo CN800 seem similar, upon closer look they both have their own pros and cons. Check out results with both these color films.

While these photos are not part of my portfolio or anything I would put in a zine, I wanted to share them along with my experience in case any of you are going through anything similar. I wanted to simply say, keep going.

The Rolleicord III

In October of 2023 I went on a trip with my family to New York to see my grandmothe. While I was there my Uncle took me around to a couple of his favorite second hand shops. I saw the usual Land Cameras and older Kodaks that tend to pop up in those places, but hidden among some…

I saw the usual Land Cameras and older Kodaks that tend to pop up in those places, but hidden among some "collectibles" was a small Rollei box.

Update

I haven’t written a post in a while. Honestly, my life has been very crazy and the longer I stay away from this the harder I find it to come back. I suffer from major imposter syndrome and constantly figure no one wants to hear from me anyway. That may be true but I don’t think that’s fair…

I suffer from major imposter syndrome and constantly figure no one wants to hear from me anyway. That may be true but I don’t think that’s fair to all of you who have been here for the past 6 years or to myself.

The Leica IIIF - Worth the Frustration?
AVCA discusses the Leica IIIF rangefinder created by Oskar Barnack. What disability lead to the first 35mm camera? Where did the name Leica come from? This and more in this latest camera review!
The Leica IIIF – Worth the Frustration?
Now I hate to start a review off with negativity about a camera, but the Leica IIIF is probably one of the most frustrating cameras I have ever used! With its tiny viewfinder, delicate shutter, and absolutely frustrating way of loading film among the list of cons, it can be hard to say if the Barnack Leica is worth the hassle in 2025 when there's so many other choices.

What do you get when you take a reasonably well made camera body (some variants are better than others) and slap some really nice lenses on it? A great idea and way to sell a camera. The Voigtländer Bessa R2C and its siblings set out to revitalize the Voigtländer name, but not through the original company. It was in Japan that this idea came to be.

I love this building and was excited to get to photograph it on this day last year. It was a great day. You can read about it in my latest article or watch it in my latest video called A Day on Color Film.

Earlier last year we went downtown to take some pictures and have fun as a family. it was a beautiful day that I recorded on film and this article shares the Color films I shot that day such as Kodak Gold and Kodak Portra.
Check out the article and/or video all linked in my bio.
A Day on Color Film: Part 2
Earlier last year I shot a whole day on film. If you've been following along, you know I already shared the black and white film I shot that day, which was Street Candy's ATM400 and MTN100. Then Part 1 of the color film from that day was a couple Lomography films that I had quite the experience with. Now this is Part 2 of my color film from that day, and I think I have saved the best for last.
