The Three-Body Problem was a wild read. It tested my understanding of physics and math for sure. 😂 The writing (translation) was beautiful and it never felt tedious even with the dense subject material.

First book of the year done (I started it during winter testing)! Silverwing was delightfully weird. It's been so long since I've written journal responses to a book, especially a children's book. I expected it to feel challenging or awkward, but I guess it's one of those skills you never forget.

I am loving the conclusion of this book. I've heard good things about the series as a whole, but figured it would be a little more on the middle reader side of things like Percy Jackson because she is a minor going to early college. The story-telling and tone of the story is solidly YA.

Today for Indigenous Peoples Day, I wanted to spotlight one of my favorite new series' I've read. I am in LOVE with Moniquill Blackgoose's Nampeshiweisit series. It follows a young indigenous girl named Anequs through her experience in bonding with a dragon in a colonized world.
