Regardless of immigration status (or lack thereof), individuals living within U.S. borders still have constitutional protections.

In WA, we have support networks already in place from the last #Trump Admin, such as @waisn.bsky.social's rapid response network

There are two "weirdos" from WA state—her and Jonathan Choe.

I'm also from WA and have seen them both devolve to this point. Scary they now have the ear of the White House.
alyciaramirez3.bsky.social
KUOW needs to stop platforming her. You can't " both sides" with fascism and bigotry.

It's disappointing that they didn't learn this lesson after Chris Rufo.

So far, 2 candidates have officially dropped: Alexis Mercedes-Rinck and Dionne Foster.

None of the candidates were told that We 💚 Seattle was involved, and some weren't even asked beforehand.

As of this writing, they haven't taken Dionne Foster off the advertisements.

What's wild about all the money & efforts folks at Let's Go WA & Brian Heywood are throwing at these anti trans initiatives is that there are only 5-10 trans athletes in the entire STATE.

Out of 250,000 student athletes in WA, only 5-10 are trans.

Text shows a statistic from WIAA: "Of 250,000 student-athletes in the state, five to 10 are transgender," highlighting transgender representation in sports.

Brandi Kruse & Let's Go WA were denied use of Tumwater Middle School's facilities for their anti trans initiative event, after giving them only 3 days' notice.

They had it anyway, right outside, & called community members who showed up to protest them "violent terrorists"

Tweet by Brandi Kruse calling for protection of young girls in Tumwater against violent activists. Includes a collage of images with police and text about activism. Email to Tumwater staff addresses an event advertised as "Super Signer Kickoff" at Tumwater Middle School. The facility use application was submitted late, so the request for October 4th was denied due to scheduling conflicts. The tone is clarifying and formal. A tweet screenshot by Matthew Adams, expressing support for Brandi Kruse after an alleged altercation with an "Antifa Teenager." Below the text, a photo shows a street scene with people, one holding a large, colorful umbrella, creating a tense atmosphere.

This is just awful. WIC was a lifeline for my family when my son was little.

When I could no longer breastfeed due to health issues, WIC paid for the formula (which is even more expensive today).

Now the program may run out of funding in less than 2 wks

The Cicero Institute, based in TX, has also been a driving force behind the anti-camping bans passed across the country.

You can draw a line b/w their work around criminalizing homelessness & the Admin's strategy of sending in the military to cities.

Amid record homelessness, a Texas think tank tries to upend how states tackle it
The conservative Cicero Institute is working with states to ban street camps, and shift money away from housing to addiction treatment. Homelessness advocates says such moves are counterproductive.

This is at least the second time Brandi Kruse has talked about "race wars" and "race riots" against white folks.

That's not even a dog whistle; it's just straight-up white supremacist talking points, yet @kuow.org has her on anyway, which only gives justification to this racism.

After weeks of protests, critical reporting, pushback, and a sit-in at the CEO's office last month, Microsoft has finally announced it's cutting off the Israeli military's access to its cloud services.

There are also some rappers who endorsed or supported #Trump who use explicit words in their music.

But for some folks, that doesn't matter; it's an excuse to hurl open racism at others.

Cardi B didn't say that word with the hard R, and she's also black....But I guess we're at a point in time where it's cool again for white folks to say the word publicly, and laugh about it, with no repercussions.

I have not heard any disagreements about this from those who call themselves "free speech warriors".

Ultimately, "free speech" was always a smoke screen for censorship and retribution.

We 💚 Seattle has been openly courting people with very racist beliefs.

Voeten, a Dutch photojournalist who was just shown around by WHS, has open white nationalist beliefs (ex: believes in white genocide).
Two individuals wearing sunglasses and casual attire pose for a selfie. The tone of the photo is friendly and candid, set against an urban backdrop. Text from a Twitter post by Dr. Teun Voeten expressing concerns about racial motives. Uses hashtags #PeopleOfColor and #HumiliatingWhitey, and calls for severe punishment. It's absolutely INSANE that children have to be threatened by grown ass adults who are furious because an assassinated WHITE NATIONALIST isn't getting the adoration they want.

We cannot normalize this, for our children's sake.

It was VERY fortunate that nothing tragic or violent happened, and that two badly behaved men who stood outside the school carrying on was the worst of it.

The North Creek HS School community was made aware in advance that a protest may occur outside the school.

Thanks to the right-wing hysteria around a statement the North Creek HS Principal in #Bothell made about Charlie Kirk's death in the context of gun violence, there was a "protest' this morning outside the school.

"Just kill them". This was said on live TV regarding unsheltered people with mental illness.

It's one thing to be shocked or appalled at how Charlie Kirk was killed, but that doesn't mean canonizing him or glossing over the awful things he said and did.

He was a white nationalist who hated women, LGBTQ, and black/brown folks. This is his legacy

There is NOT a race war and certainly not against white folks as Brandi Kruse is arguing here.

A "race war" being perpetrated by black/brown folks against white folks is straight up a white supremacist talking point & core tenet of those beliefs.
