I think in a perfect scenario, all Americans would rally each other, viscerally stand up against this blatant fascism and run it clear off the edge of the world, but it's simply not how the fight works.

I know everyone is trying as best as they know how to get through this & sports is escapism that's needed. Mine is hiking.

Trying to criminalize opposition to fascism is an act of fascists.

As a nation, we need to make SURE they fail to do so.

We don’t have kings in this country. It is up to the American people and elected officials to enforce that.

We are living the proof that freedom isn’t free. Right now.

Reading this headline, it becomes immediately clear what the @washingtonpost.com is doing: taking sides, attempting to revise history and showing bias.

You’ve gotta be kidding me.

This WaPo editorial presents a misleading revisionist history of Special Counsel Jack Smith’s criminal cases against Trump.

Then it has the gall to compare that to Trump’s overt targeting of his perceived enemies.

Really embarrassing stuff.

But the mere fact that a legal tool might be available does not mean it should be used. The
current rage over Grassley's revelation shows why. Smith showed little restraint in his pursuit of a former president. He charged Trump for official acts he took as president. He sought a gag order to limit Trump's ability to criticize the prosecution. He tried to accelerate the case to try a leading presidential candidate before the 2024 election.

and the subhead helps props up a false claim this professor was up to something seedy as something up for debate

Fascists do not get to run from the fascism they exhibit and attempt to force on others.

They hold no more town meetings with their constituents. They don't respond to emails or letters with any kind of solutions, if at all.

These decisions are NOT about Americans. It's about power and control, and they want ALL of it, regardless of what any other American wants.

This is a power grab.

Lying to children and trying to create a world in which LGBTQ+ are never seen or learned about in history, is infinitely more harmful to them than any form of visibility ever could be.

It also stokes fear, because people fear what they do not know or understand.

LGBTQ+ people exist. We have ALWAYS existed. And despite common tactics to make it seem like any visible proof of existence is an attempt to influence children to be LGBTQ+, our visibility won't be scared back into the closet, for the comfortability of others.
